Gerbils of the Month: Howard & Dean
Meet Howard & Dean.
Howard & Dean are super progressive and political gerbils. They like to turn all of their furniture upside
down and then eat it, which is kind of like what Howard Dean did in 2004... Shoot, failed metaphor! Anyway,
people-powered Howard and Deaniac are incredibly sweet and climb right into my hand. They really are calm,
sweet, and friendly--perfect for a family with kids. To be honest, I don't know if they are brothers, or dad and son,
but they get along swimmingly either way. They love to run in their wheel. They also eat almost all of my cardboard
recycling, believe it or not. Did I mention that they are chewers extraordinaire? I just give them my cardboard boxes and let them go go town.
Look, they are smart, attractive, and incredibly compassionate and sweet. That gets MY vote!
