The babies of the three "Baby Bowls" came to the Hamster House very secretly. See, all of their
mamas were dumped, along with some siblings, on a patch of grass outside the Bronx Zoo. No cage, no water, no food, no wheel. Just a hot New
York City day and a lot of cars whizzing by. Well, a lovely man in the Bronx rescued the seven hamsters and brought them to the Hamster House.
Unfortunatly for me, three of the ladies were pregnant (they must have been bored on that patch of grass...), and while I was on vacation in
San Francisco, a billion babies popped out to surprise me! These guys were born on August 6th and are ready for adoption, so come on down! PS John
Edwards Love Baby is one of these babies!

Biden |

Dear Biden was brought to the Hamster House in June 2008 and was about three to six months old at
the time. She's a bit shy (and she has a sister who is SO shy, I don't even have a photo of her!), but a total sweetheart who is desperate to
have a forever home and be all Vice Presidential in her new cage. She's no Cheney, but she sure is a keeper!

Super Mom |

Super mom was one of the hamsters who some bad, bad man (or woman) dumped on a patch of grass
outside the Bronx Zoo. No cage, no water, no food, no wheel. Just a hot New York City day and a lot of cars whizzing by. Well, a lovely man
in the Bronx rescued the seven hamsters and brought them to the Hamster House. So I went on vacation, and when I came back, Super Mom was like
"hey, I have twenty seven thousand babies for you!" Actually, there were ten, though only nine survived. Super Mom did an AWESOME job of raising
her kids, and now they are ready for adoption and so is she. Did I mention she's incredibly sweet, cuddly, and adorable?

Poop & Scoop |

These little monsters were born in 2007, and are a little over a year old.
They came from a litter of eight... five boys, and three girls. These two are the only ones left who haven't been adopted, though I have no idea why.
They are scrappy, cute, and curious. They also apparently went to college and majored in CHEWING, which is why they live together
in a cage that provides them with ample opportunity to chew, gnaw, eat, munch, and nibble. They love eating toilet paper rolls and cracker boxes.
They sleep in a pile, smooshed together in a cute-mess. Looking for adorable, friendly gerbils? They are your guys! |

Barack and Obama |

Holy moly, Barack and Obama are super cute and sweet! They were recently adopted out, but only for a week
because the cat in the house they were adopted into was so curious that it was an unsafe situation. The family tried to make it work, but it just wasn't
going to happen. So anyway, they are back at the Hamster House and happy as clams. Their fur is the softest you have ever felt, and they just get along
like there's no tomorrow. Seriously, seriously cute. And if you adopt these guys, and then the real Barack wins, then you get so say you live in the
White House!

Howard & Dean |

Howard & Dean are super progressive and political hamsters. They like to turn all of their furniture upside
down and then eat it, which is kind of like what Howard Dean did in 2004... Shoot, failed metaphor! Anyway, people-powered Howard and Deaniac are incredibly sweet and climb right into
my hand. To be honest, I don't know if they are brothers, or dad and son, but they get along swimmingly either way. They love to run in their wheel. Did I
mention that they are chewers extraordinaire? I just give them my cardboard boxes and let them go go town.

Ice Tea |

Ice Tea--I know it should be Iced Tea, or Ice-T. But guess what? It's not. It's Ice Tea, and
you'd best not complain. See? Anyway, right, the gerbil. Ice Tea really ought to be living with someone, as gerbils are social creatures. But
I am notoriously bad at sexing gerbils, AND I am also not equipped to introduce new gerbils to one another to co-habitate. So Ice Tea will just sit
here, waiting for a person who has gerbil smarts to come along. Until then, I make sure to give Ice Tea tons of cardboard, and we do lots of cuddling, too. |
